Villareal CF are currently in negotiations with Salernitana as they look to complete the transfer of 25-year-old French forward Boulaye Dia.
The Spanish club is also working simultaneously on the signing of 25-year-old Nigerian forward Umar Sadiq who is currently at UD Almeria. Villareal look to sign Sadiq right after the deal for Boulaye Dia is completed. Sadiq was part of the bronze medal winning Nigerian squad at the 2016 Summer Olympics at Rio de Janeiro.
Also in the news for Villareal is their left-back Pervis Estupiñán, who is currently being targeted by Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion as they look for a replacement for Marc Cucurella. Talks are already in progress for the 24-year-old Ecuadorian.
