Prior to Virat Kohli’s 100th T20I match on Sunday, South Africa’s Faf du Plessis praised the Indian star and stated that the 33-year-old still had plenty of gas in the tank.When India plays Pakistan in the Asia Cup opening on August 28, Kohli will make history by becoming the first Indian cricketer to play 100 matches in all three forms.
Du Plessis is the most recent to offer congratulations to the great hitter, who has been receiving well wishes from all sides. The South African player, who served as Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore team captain in IPL 2022, stated in a video posted to Star Sports’ official Twitter account that the Indian star’s participation in 100 T20I matches is yet another outstanding accomplishment.
There has been much discussion about Kohli’s recent performance leading up to the Asia Cup, but the RCB captain stated that the star batter still has plenty of gas in the tank and expressed excitement about what the 33-year-old will do in the years to come. Du Plessis wished Kohli luck in the Asia Cup as he wrapped up his speech.
