England has increased the size of its coaching staff in preparation of the T20 World Cup. David Saker and Michael Hussey will now work with Matthew Motts. Richard Dawson and Carl Hopkinson, who serve as assistant coaches, have been joined by the two Australians as “Coaching Consultants”.
David Saker, who coached England Men’s bowling from 2010 to 2015, will travel with the visitors to Pakistan for seven match T20 series leading up to the World Cup, the England and Wales Cricket Board announced (ECB). David Saker has also served as a coach for Sri Lanka, the Australian men’s side, and the Big Bash League’s Melbourne Renegades.
Hussey, who worked as a coach with the Chennai Super Kings of the Indian Premier League, will only be a part of the squad during the World Cup. He has previously provided batting strategy advice to Australia and South Africa.
