India scored 208/6 in 20 overs as KL Rahul contributed 55 of 35 balls and a marvelous knock from Hardik Pandya who scored 70 of 31 and was not out. SuryaKumar Yadav had a good score, 46 of 25. Nathan Ellis who took 3 wickets for Australia with a bowling figures of 30 runs in 4 overs with 3 wickets and restricted India to score further more.
Australia had a great start as their skipper Aaron Finch who had a quick cameo of 22 in 13 balls and a responsive knock from Cameron Green 6 of 30 put them up in the initial stage of game. Axar Patel who had an brilliant spell, just gave 17 runs in 4 overs and took 3 wickets. Indian star bowlers such as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel had worst spells as they given 52 and 49 runs in 4 overs. Runs were leaking from other bowlers which made India in the losing situation, especially on the 18th and 19th over as Harshal Patel gave 22 runs and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have 16 runs as total of 38 runs in these 2 overs.
Australia won the match with 4 wickets and 4 balls to spare. This is the highest chase by Australia in India in T20’s.It was an exceptional chase from Australia who go 1-0 up in this three-match T20 series.
