Manchester United legend Eric Cantona opens about the Manchester United board and his desire to become the next president of the club to The Athletic. Eric Cantona: “I met him [Ed Woodward] a few times. But they did not accept it [Cantona’s offer to return to #mufc as “President of Football”].” Eric Cantona: “I still think me or somebody else, they should have somebody for football. It should be somebody from the club, who knows football and the club.” Eric Cantona: “Last year, I proposed to the club to change their way. Ed Woodward is great at marketing but not great at football.” Eric Cantona: “United should have a chairman and then they should have a president of marketing and then a president of football, who is in charge of all the decisions in football. So I proposed to them that I should be president of football.”
In the other news, It’s more likely that Portuguese international Diogo Dalot could extend his stay at Manchester United as Diogo Dalot’s contract with Manchester United also includes an option to extend current deal until June 2024. Dalot, has always been top professional and is now performing at very great level.
