Mohammed Siraj Replaces Injured Jasprit Bumrah In The Ongoing T20I Series Against South Africa

According to reports, the BCCI has stated that,, Mohammed Siraj will start in place of Jasprit Bumrah for the last Twenty20 International match against South Africa. “Jasprit Bumrah has a back issue and is currently being assessed by the BCCI Medical Team”.

The fast bowler returned for the second T20I rubber against Australia before taking part in the final two games of the series. He was unable to participate in the first T20I against South Africa due to a persistent back problem.

In five T20 international matches, Siraj has captured five wickets for India. He has also grabbed 59 wickets in 65 IPL games. The fast bowler underperformed in this year’s game, capturing just nine victims at a 57.11 average, despite having 11 wickets in each of the IPL seasons of 2020 and 2021.
