After Sevilla’s drawn out attempts to replace their previous manager they have finally got their man when Jorge Sampaoli put pen to paper. This deal has finally put fans minds at ease and many agreed he was the best candidate for the club. One optimistic fan said “The manager looks like a good choice to me and I think he might be exactly what we need. Hopefully he can help provide the club with good results. As long as we are winning the fans will love him.”
It is the second spell in charge of the club for Sampaoli, who led the club to a fourth-placed finish in the 2016/17 season before leaving to take the Argentina national job. Olympique Marseille were on top form as Sampoli left the club in the lurch with his move to Sevilla. Some might wonder his reasoning behind choosing to leave a club on the up, but fans of Sevilla will be hoping the winning streak follows him. Sevilla appointed Jorge Sampaoli as new head coach by replacing Julen Lopetegui. Contacts started days ago as Lopetegui was already on the verge of being fired before the UCL game.
