Frank Lampard has revealed that Everton are looking to get Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi to sign a new contract at Goodison Park.
Iwobi’s current contract runs through to the summer of 2024. The club is reportedly in talks with the player and are looking forward to making him stay for longer. Iwobi has impressed Lampard at the club after he moved to a more central-midfield role.
“I know that Kevin (Thelwell, director of football) is speaking with Alex’s people on that front.”, said Frank Lampard. “We’ll see how that one develops.”, he added.
