Given that many elite teams are keeping an eye on Bruno Guimaraes after his particularly exceptional performances at the club, Newcastle intend to extend the Brazilian’s contract as soon as possible and include a wage boost in the deal.
In the recent hours, sporting director at Newcastle, Dan Ashworth remarked of Bruno saying, “We do not want to sell him.”
Manager Eddie Howe also had his say on Guimaraes. “We desperately want Bruno to be happy here, to see a long-term vision here. As long as the player sees ambition in the club and progression in the club, we can fulfill his need.”, said Howe.
The plan is clear that Newcastle are set on signing a new contract for Guimaraes at St. James’ Park.
