Australia’s second match against Sri Lanka will take place at Optus Stadium in Australia during Tuesday’s Super 12 game of the current T20 World Cup 2022. The defending champions were in desperate need of a win after their opening game defeat to New Zealand by a huge margin 89 runs.
However, on the other side, Sri Lanka had defeated Ireland in their opening match making their win very comfortable. In today’s match, a loss to Sri Lanka would make it much more difficult for Australia to advance to the semi finals in the current T20 World Cup after an embarrassing loss to New Zealand which has hurt Australia’s net run rate far too much.
Sri Lanka will look to carry on the momentum where they left, try to win against Australia and fancy their chances to advance to the Semi Finals in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022.
