Ryan ten Doeschate, a former Netherlands international player, who was born in South Africa, is anticipated to join the support staff of the Kolkata Knight Riders club in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2023. He will take over as the team’s new fielding coach in place of James Foster, who was appointed to assistant coach.
Both of them will however work with their main head coach Chandrakant Pandit. Ten Doeschate, 42 years, a past KKR player who played in the team’s title winning squad in IPL 2012 and also in 2014, may also participate in the UAE League affiliate of the franchise (ILT20). He will be the team’s assistant coach for the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.
The previous captain of the Netherlands is nicknamed as TenDo, and according to KKR team management, their sources they have confirmed the news. Ten Doeschate has “always been a Knight Rider.” Ryan Ten Doeschate also announced his retirement from international cricket the previous year in addition to wrapping up his career with the Essex club in English County Cricket.
