For the three match ODI series against Bangladesh, pacer Kuldeep Sen and all-arounder Shahbaz Ahmed have been selected as Yash Dayal and Ravindra Jadeja’s replacements.
Kuldeep Sen and Shahbaz were both a member of the Shikhar Dhawan-led ODI team for the New Zealand tour, but they were both removed from the team and will now be travelling to Bangladesh with the rest of the team, which will be led by Rohit Sharma. But, for the ODI team playing in New Zealand, no stand-in players have been named.
Ravindra Jadeja is currently rehabilitating from a knee injury he sustained during the Asia Cup that also stopped him from competing in the T20 World Cup, and his involvement in the Bangladesh tour was dependent upon fitness. The BCCI’s medical personnel will continue to monitor him. Dayal, on the other hand, was unable to take part in the Bangladesh series because of a lower back condition.
