Australian Open 2023 : Women’s Doubles Sania Mirza-Anna Danilina Beats Dalma Galfi-American Bernarda Pera In Straight Sets And Qualifies For The Second Round

Indian tennis player Sania Mirza easily advanced to the second round of the Australian Open on Thursday. In the women’s doubles, Sania Mirza and her partner Anna Danilina from Kazakh defeated Hungary’s Dalma Galfi and America’s Bernarda Pera 6-2, 7-5 in straight sets in just one hour and 15 minutes.

Sania and Danilina claimed the first set inside the first  25 minutes and held a 4-1 lead in the second before Galfi and Pera won four straight games to make 5-5 all each.

However, the Indo-Kazakh team was able to break Pera’s serve, while Danilina held on to her own serve and the duo in the end sealed the game in the second set. The duo Sania and Danilina have advanced to the second round of Australian Open 2023.

And further the duo will be facing Alison Van Uytvanck and Anhelina Kalinina in their second round of Australian Open 2023. This Australian Open will be Sania Mirza’s last Grand Slam for her.
