India vs Australia 3rd Test Match Of The Border-Gavaskar Trophy Has Been Shifted From Dharamshala To Indore Stadium

The third Border-Gavaskar Test match will take place in Indore, the BCCI announced on Monday, February 13. As was previously reported, the BCCI’s inspection of the site determined that Dharamsala was not ready and the Test had to be moved elsewhere.

The BCCI stated in its statement as to why the new location was chosen that “because to the harsh winter weather in the region, the outfield lacks appropriate grass density and will require some time to develop fully”.

The Test will be played in Indore from March 1 to 5. The series schedule will remain the same. India played New Zealand in a test match there in 2016 and Bangladesh played India in a test match there in 2019.

The location has recently hosted an ODI between India and New Zealand. India now leads the series 1-0 after  winning the first Test in Nagpur. The second Test is scheduled to start on February 17 in New Delhi.
