Due to the fact that Sri Lanka and Pakistan are already slated to play one other in the Asia Cup final, the the last Super 4 game between the two will effectively be a pointless contest . Nonetheless, it will take place as a warm-up for the top match on Sunday. Both the sides will take on each other having winning their last three games, and both teams on the win lists will have India and Afghanistan.
While Sri Lanka easily defeated both of their Super 4 opponents, Pakistan came dangerously close to losing a low-scoring chase against Afghanistan. Their only hope came from pacer Naseem Shah, whose two sixes in the last over enabled them cross the finish line.
