The 16 member squad has been selected by the Bangladesh Cricket Board for the upcoming three match 50 overs series against India, which will begin on December 4 at home. Shakib Al Hasan, an all-around player, is back for the ODIs. Shakib was unable to go to Zimbabwe for Bangladesh’s last ODI series in August because of his personal commitments.
The pace bowler named Ebadot Hossain was able to preserve his spot. But, batter Yasir Ali returning to the 50 overs format for the series after impressing the selectors in his only ODI against Zimbabwe. All-rounder Mosaddek Hossain, fast bowler Shoriful Islam, and left-arm spinner Taijul Islam failed to maintain their positions in the team.
The first two games of the series will be played on December 4 and 7, respectively, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, and the third game will be played on December 10 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. The BCB hasn’t yet named the squad for their “A” team against India A which will begin on November 29.
