Belgium’s star defender, Jason Denayer, joins UAE Pro League club Shabab Al Ahli on free transfer. He was a free agent after his contract expired with OL last June. Denayer follows the stars like Pjanić, Manolas, Allan and Taarabt in UAE Pro League. It is surprising for many fans that a player like Denayer did not wanted a Premier League move and decided to join a middle east club. He has now flown to Dubai where he has agreed terms with Shabab Al Ahli – managed by former Monaco coach Leandro Jardim. The Belgian, who has previously spent time in England with Manchester City and Sunderland, had interest from the likes of West Ham, Leicester and Bournemouth, but it was Wolves who held extensive talks. The Belgian had spent the international window with Belgium, with Roberto Martinez calling him up for the games against The Netherlands and Wales, despite being a free agent.
