Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has announced his retirement

The 35 year old Nigerian International midfielder announces his retirement today. he had a brilliant 18-year career which includes 10 seasons at Stamford Bridge, winning 8 major trophies with the Blues. He posted ‘All good things must come to an end’ in social media as farewell message.

The two-time Premier League winner has ended his 18-year senior career which includes 11 years at Stamford Bridge. He has been a key player for the Blues and he was in the 2012 Champions League winning squad.

After Chelsea he played few years in England in the Championship with Middlesbrough and Stoke City. His final club was Kuwait SC, following spells at Middlesbrough and Stoke

Mikel was has also won three FA Cups, the Europa League and the League Cup during his time in west London.
