Grandmaster Of Chess Breaks His Silence Following A Streak Of Victories, Accusing The Rival Of “Cheating More”

Magnus Carlsen, a grandmaster of chess, withdrew from the Sinquefield Cup in St. Louis, Missouri, after an unexpected loss to Hans Niemann in the third round.

After leaving, he posted a bizarre image on social media that featured Jose Mourinho, the manager of A.S. Roma, stating, “If I speak, I am in big trouble.”

He withdrew from a match against Niemann last Monday, and now he has publicly accused his opponent of cheating.

The 19-year-old Niemann earlier denied cheating and stated that Carlsen was going to destroy his career.

I believe that Niemann has cheated more – and more recently – than he has publicly admitted.

His over the board progress has been unusual and throughout our game in the Sinquefield Cup I had the impression that he wasn’t tense or even full concentrating on the game in critical positions, while outplaying me as black in a way I think only a handful of players can do.

Niemann was previously banned from playing on Chess.com, the game’s most popular online destination, for allegedly cheating, according to sources.
