There are fresh developments coming out from Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag desperately in search of a way to sort his midfield woes.
The Red Devils had already made contact with Juventus man Adrien Rabiot and talks were reported to be ongoing.
The latest addition to United’s list of targets is Napoli man Sergej Milinković-Savić. The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder is now looking like a primary target for Manchester United as they seek to sign someone before the transfer window closes and also having failed to agree on personal terms with Barcelona man Frenkie de Jong.
Current United centre-back Eric Bailly is also keen on making a move out of the team later in the week. Sevilla, AS Monaco and West Ham all seem to be monitoring the Ivorian.
Manchester United were also pushing to sign Austrian international Marko Arnautovic who currently plays for Serie A side Bologna. The heat has now died down as United seem to have decided against continuing with the deal as per backlash from the fans regarding the signing of the 33-year-old forward. This is possible due to the incident during the Euro 2020 game between Austria and North Macedonia where Arnautovic was given a one-match ban as he was accused of using an anti-Albanian slur during the match.
Movement can be expected at United either ingoing or outgoing, but the team has shifted their key focus to signing a key midfield man.
