Lewandowski Bids Goodbye To Bayern

Bayern Munich confirms the sale of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona for a reputed 42.5 million pounds.

The sale of renowned striker Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona has been finalised, according to Bayern Munich President Herbert Hainer, putting an end to weeks of rumours. Lewandowski has often pleaded with Bayern to allow him to leave the club in the public eye. He has made no secret of his desire to sign with La Blaugrana this summer.

Due to Barca’s financial issues, the transfer had seemed uncertain for a while, but after the club recently pulled the “second lever” on their economic recovery, the deal is finalised now. The Polish striker has already said goodbye to Bayern Munich’s manager Julian Nagelsmann and his colleagues, capping his eight-year association with the Bavarians.

“I said goodbye to the players on the field today since I wasn’t concerned about getting hurt during drill. At home, anything can happen to me. Re-trained with the boys because he wanted to stay in shape.” The deal was also confirmed by Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, in a source interview. He remarked, “I would like to thank FC Bayern – and especially Oliver and Hasan – for finally recognising and respecting Robert’s goal of a new challenge in his career.

Lewandowski is expected to join the team as its fourth acquisition of the transfer window, following Raphinha, Andreas Christensen, and Franck Kessie. After his contract at the end of the previous season expired, Ousmane Dembele has also re-signed.
