David Warner, Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Starc, and Mitchell Marsh are among the 16 players in the Australian team for the coming 2 T20I matches against the West Indies in Queensland. Neither of the four players participated in the just concluded T20I series against India in India.
Warner received some relief as Starc, Stoinis, and Marsh were sidelined due to injuries to their knees, sides, and ankles, respectively. The lineup also includes all-rounder Cameron Green, who recently struck a few quick fifty-pluses against India. Both left-arm spinner Ashton Agar and quick bowler Kane Richardson have been left out.
The return of four important players, as stated by the national selection panel chair George Bailey, enables us to deal gently with any minor issues and come up with remedies well before the World Cup. Kane and Ashton are therefore expected to be available for the next series against England.
Australia Squad for the upcoming West Indies T20I Series :
Aaron Finch(C), Sean Abbott, Pat Cummins, Tim David, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Josh Inglis(WK), Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Daniel Sams, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade(WK), David Warner, Adam Zampa.
