Manchester City and their 22 year-old star midfielder Phil Foden were in negotiations for a new contract at the club for quite some time now. A potential five-year deal was being considered. The final details were yet to be confirmed. But the club looked persistent on retaining him and not sell him out to any other club.
But just recently, it was reported that Foden and the club have indeed signed a new deal that would see the Englishman stay at the Etihad through to 2027. A five-year deal indeed.
