Rest Of India Announces Squad For Irani Cup, Hanuma Vihari To Lead And Umran Malik, Yash Dull Makes The Squad

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that, Rest Of India which will face Saurashtra in the Irani Cup from October 1 to 5 said  on Wednesday. The winner of the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy is Saurashtra. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, which began in 2020, the Irani Cup has been missing from the local competitive calendar for three years.

Indian batter Hanuma Vihari will lead Rest of India, while Mayank Agarwal, another representative from India, has also been chosen. Yash Dhull, who helped India win the U-19 World Cup trophy in 2022, was also selected along with young pace man Umran Malik.

Vihari, Mayank, and Dhull are the other batters chosen, and including domestic powerhouses Priyank Panchal and Abhimanyu Easwaran and Sarfaraz Khan, who has been racking up runs in the Ranji Trophy. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who recently made a double century for West Zone in the Duleep Trophy final, is also a member of the team.

Hanuma Vihari(C), Mayank Agarwal, Priyank Panchal, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Yash Dhull, Sarfaraaz Khan, Yashasvi Jaiswal, K.S.Bharat(WK), Upendra Yadav, Jayant Yadav, Saurabh Kumar, R Sai Kishore, Mukesh Kumar, Umran Malik, Kuldeep Sen, Arzan Nagwaswalla.
