Folarin Balogun transfers from Arsenal to Stade De Reims on loan; the arrangement is good until June 2023. After loaning out star striker Hugo Ekitike to Paris Saint-Germain, a deal that would see the 20-year-old sign with the French champions permanently next summer, Reims had a vacancy in their attack that needed to be filled. They are hoping that Balogun can be the one to keep them in the goals.
He just played for 22 minutes against Freiburg about a month ago, during the Gunners’ preseason practises, so he could need some time to adjust to life in France. No buy option is included in the agreement.
