T20 World Cup 2022 : Group 1 England vs New Zealand Pre-Match Analysis, As England In Must Win Situation And Both Teams Predicted Playing XI

New Zealand has a chance to move to the T20 World Cup semifinals this week, but in order to do so, they first must resist England’s strong batting lineup. Lookie Ferguson has stated that, fellow fast bowlers Trent Boult and Tim Southee will need to perform at the top of their game for New Zealand to overcome England at the Gabba on Tuesday night.

He further said that  “You can always bank on England to come out fire”. They undoubtedly get immense satisfaction from their aggressive and deep batters that they have. New Zealand is right now leading in Group 1 of the Super 12 stage after two wins and one washout.

They need to win one of their remaining two games, either against England on Tuesday or Ireland on Friday, to ensure a spot in the final four. England have a power packed batting line up and also a good bowling attack, which makes New Zealand to put their best effort with both bat and ball. The game against England is a rematch of New Zealand and England’s semifinal 2021 T20 World Cup match, where New Zealand won by five wickets in Abu Dhabi.

It is also a replay of the 50 overs World Cup final match from 2019, which England won by the slimmest of margins on a boundary count, even after double super over was unable to decide the result.

Both Tams Predicted Playing XI :

England : Alex Hales, Jos Buttler(C)and(WK), David Malan, Ben Stokes, Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood.

New Zealand : Finn Allen, Devon Conway(WK), Kane Williamson(C), Glenn Phillips, Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner/Mark Chapman, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, Trent Boult.
