Bangladesh after opting to bat first, startes poorly as Soumya Sarkar was dismissed for 0 by Muzarabani. But Liton Das and Shanto was starting to build an partnership, but Das was dismissed for 14 runs by the same bowler. The captain entered, Shanto and Shakib combined together made an partnership of 54 runs.
But, their skipper Shakib got out after contributing only 23 runs. Opener Shanto’s excellent knock of 71 runs off 55 deliveries, which included 7 fours and a six and end contribution by Afif Hossain of 29 runs off 19 balls which took Bangladesh to a respectable total of 150 for 7 in their 20 overs.
