Brandon Nakashima defeated Grigor Dimitrov in the round 2 of US Open 2022. The 21-year-old American won 7-65, 7-5, 6-3, and did not lose a serve in defeating the 17th seed in two hours and 23 minutes.
At Wimbledon, he defeated Denis Shapovalov for the second time in his career to defeat a Top 20 player. Owing to his remarkable consistency from a short baseline and his capacity to take the ball early and establish an implacable rhythm, Nakashima excelled Dimitrov’s variations.
At the conclusion of the battle, the victor returned a copy of the winning 32 for 27 unintentional fouls, while the loser obtained a score of 35-41. Although Nakashima is better to him in every way, he is ranked 69th in the world.
Brandon Nakashima qualifies for the third round of the US Open 2022, where he goes on to face 11th Seeded J. Sinner tomorrow.
